What we keep, and why.
Designer Goldmine collects only what it needs to run a private, moderated member marketplace and community. Designer Goldmine does not sell member data.
These policies are provided as working platform guidance and should be reviewed by legal counsel before full public launch.
Information members provide
- Name, email address, location or country, bio, and profile photo.
- Listings, listing photos, prices, and item details.
- Vault posts, photos, videos, comments, and replies.
- Messages and message images.
- Purchase Info shared inside a private message thread.
- Trusted Seller application details.
Administrative and moderation data
To run membership review and moderation, Designer Goldmine also keeps:
- Membership applications and decisions.
- Suspension reasons, dates, and the admin who acted.
- Reports submitted by members.
- Internal admin notes, which are never shown publicly.
- Trusted Seller review information and status history.
How information is used
- Operating the marketplace, The Vault, and messaging.
- Reviewing membership applications and Trusted Seller applications.
- Moderation, safety, and fraud prevention.
- Sending notifications and account emails.
- Responding to support and Admin Team messages.
Private messages
Member-to-member messages are private to the participants of that thread. Admins may access message content where moderation, safety, or a report requires it. Admin Team threads are visible to the member and to admins.
Purchase Info
Purchase Info shared in a private thread may include a shipping name and address and a PayPal email or Venmo handle. That information is shared only inside the thread. It is not saved to your profile, not shown on listings or public profiles, and never included in inbox previews, notifications, or emails — those stay generic.
What is visible to others
- Your profile name, avatar, bio, and location as shown on your member profile.
- Your published listings and listing photos.
- Your Vault posts, comments, and replies in the rooms where they appear.
- Your Trusted Seller badge, if you have one.
Security
Listing photos, message images, Vault media, and profile photos are stored in private storage and served through short-lived signed links. Access to member data is restricted by account and role. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Data selling
Designer Goldmine does not sell member data and does not share it with advertisers.
Account actions
- You can edit your profile, listings, and posts at any time.
- Membership may be suspended or revoked under the Terms of Use.
- You may request account deletion by messaging the Admin Team; some records may be retained where needed for safety, moderation, or legal reasons.
Cookies and analytics
Designer Goldmine uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. If analytics or performance measurement is added in the future, this policy will be updated first.
