Authenticity Disclaimer
Review is not authentication.
Designer Goldmine is a private member marketplace and community platform. It is not a professional authentication service, and nothing on the platform should be treated as an authentication guarantee.
These policies are provided as working platform guidance and should be reviewed by legal counsel before full public launch.
Not an authentication service
Designer Goldmine does not authenticate items, appraise items, or certify condition. Member discussion, admin review, and Trusted Seller status are not authentication.
Review does not guarantee authenticity
Designer Goldmine may review, moderate, reject, remove, or request revisions to any listing. Approval of a listing means it met basic platform standards at the time of review — it does not guarantee that an item is authentic, accurately described, or as pictured.
Members are responsible for their listings
- Item descriptions, brand names, materials, and measurements must be accurate.
- Condition, flaws, wear, repairs, alterations, and missing parts must be disclosed.
- Provenance and ownership claims must be truthful.
- List only items you own or are authorized to sell.
Prohibited items and claims
- Counterfeit goods, replicas, dupes, and “inspired by” items.
- Altered, reconstructed, or custom items that use protected logos, motifs, marks, or patterns.
- Misleading brand names, trademarks, or protected imagery.
- Any item you know or suspect may not be authentic.
Your own photos only
- Use your own photos of the exact item being sold.
- No stock photos, boutique or brand website images, screenshots, or another seller’s photos.
Removal for legal risk
Designer Goldmine may remove any listing, image, post, or comment that creates authenticity, copyright, trademark, or other legal risk for the platform or the community, and may suspend or remove members who repeatedly create that risk.
When authenticity matters, get it authenticated.
Use a reputable third-party authentication service before buying or selling a high-value item. Community opinions in The Vault are helpful context, not a professional opinion.
